As we celebrate the first anniversary of Bi-rex since its foundation on December 15, 2022, we reflect on a year filled with growth, challenges, and significant milestones in our journey toward sustainable innovation.
From simple experiments with unexpected results to a startup capable of valorizing a multitude of agro-food waste and turning them into resources for the paper and plastic industries.
Achieved Milestones
In the past year, Bi-rex has achieved notable milestones, including the opening of our first headquarters, complete with a state-of-the-art chemical research and development laboratory. The acquisition and operation of a pilot plant for large-scale production have been crucial in realizing our vision.
Strategic Collaborations
Collaborations have been at the heart of our journey. We have established connections with various industries in the paper sector, from luxury fashion to packaging and tissue paper. The development of a robust supply chain utilizing waste materials has been fundamental in defining our sustainable practices.
The recognition of our innovative efforts has been further solidified with a significant financial boost. The attainment of €250k from 20fund has allowed us to advance our mission and invest in research and development.
